No ads.Only art.
A street-art exhibition at InLiquid, in the Crane Arts Building, Philadelphia. Seven weeks in 2027.
The city that started it never gave it a room.
Philadelphia is widely credited as the place modern graffiti began. The work is everywhere you walk, and almost nowhere you can stop and spend time with it.
No Ads! Only Art! is one exhibition at InLiquid that stays up for seven weeks. Each week a different part of the story steps into the spotlight, with talks, live painting, food and music around it.
It’s a prototype. If it works, it becomes a permanent Philadelphia street-art experience.
Seven weeks. Seven questions.
Week 1: The Origin
Where did Philadelphia street art come from?
Week 2: The Writer
What’s in a name?
Week 3: The Character
What else is on the wall?
Week 4: Who Owns the Wall?
Who decides what the city looks like?
Week 5: The City as Canvas
What happens when it’s made in front of you?
Week 6: From Wall to Gallery
How does a street artist make a living?
Week 7: The Future
Where does it go next?
Sponsor a week. Help make the art possible.
Seven weeks, seven sponsors. Each sponsor’s name goes with one week: its wall, its night and its story.
Make the wall.
We’re putting the lineup together now: writers, sticker and wheatpaste artists, muralists, photographers and new voices, plus chefs and musicians for the nights.
